Mr Duncan Parry qualified in Sheffield in 1993 (MBChB) and subsequently undertook his specialist vascular training (FRCS), medical research (MD) and ultrasound training (PG Cert) within the Yorkshire Region. Mr Parry was appointed as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust in 2009 and continues to practice as a full time NHS Consultant within the West Yorkshire Vascular Service (WYVAS). Over the past sixteen years he has accrued surgical expertise including carotid endarterectomy, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair, peripheral arterial bypass, thoracic outlet decompression, chronic compartment syndrome and the diabetic foot. Over the past twenty-five years Mr Parry has developed research interests including familial risk in peripheral arterial disease and was awarded the Moynihan Prize at the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, 2003. Mr Parry has subsequently published more than thirty research articles in peer reviewed journals. Mr Parry has a specialist interest in varicose vein surgery and the provision of high-quality minimally invasive interventions remains his clinical passion. Since appointment Mr Parry in undertaken several thousand procedures to date and always aims to provide an individualized treatment plan with optimal surgical results and patient satisfaction.
