Thomas Lawaetz

Founder and CEO, UK Vein Care and Nordic Health Group

Thomas Lawaetz founded UK Vein Care with one clear vision: to make modern, minimally invasive varicose vein treatment accessible to everyone. Growing up in a family with deep roots in healthcare, Thomas developed an early and profound understanding of what patients need – and what they are all too often denied. That became the foundation for UK Vein Care and, in turn, Nordic Health Group.

UK Vein Care is today part of Europe’s leading specialists in varicose vein treatment, with more than 55,000 treatments carried out across the group and clinics in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands. Since the very beginning, Thomas has stood behind ensuring that the clinics always work with the most gentle and well-documented methods, and that the patient experience is at the heart of everything UK Vein Care does.

Under Thomas’s leadership, Nordic Health Group has grown to 55 clinics across Europe and is today the leading specialist provider of varicose vein treatment in Europe.

Thomas holds degrees from Harvard Business School and Copenhagen Business School and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
